Victorian Silver Fob Watch
This rare late Victorian silver, open-face fob watch showcases a radiating Byzantium-purple enamel dial with fine gilt spade hands, Roman numerals and dot minute markers. It is elegantly set in a cushioned circular case with a fine chased miniature interlocking dandelion design, gently convex crystal, polished orb and bow. The complementing back displays a floral and foliage garland design, with a scalloped frame and a central shield, on a fine stippled background. The fob watch can be opened from the back by depressing the orb button, revealing a secondary dust cover, both with original silver and registration marks. This fob watch is a daily wind, has been serviced and is in good working order. This gentlemanly item carries the silver hallmarks and registration number. A highly collectible piece, it’ll become a much-admired heirloom to be passed from generation to generation.
