Alexander Mcqueen A/W 2008 RTW Dalmatian Mink Coat
From the Autumn / Winter ready to wear Alexander Mcqueen show titled ‘The girl who lived in the tree’. Mcqueen described this runway as being inspired by a 600-year-old elm tree he has in his garden. He said, “and I made up this story of a girl who lives in it and comes out of the darkness to meet a prince and become a queen.”
The coat is made from 100% Scandinavian mink and lined with 100% silk. The coat features a dalmatian print throughout and has a fluted shape at the bottom that flares out and also allows space for a petticoat under a dress as shown on the runway. There are two concealed pockets at the front of the coat falling around the hips.
This coat features the care label and the Alexander Mcqueen label of authenticity.
