Stelios Hawa
Stelios is an award-winning Greek-Lebanese fashion designer with a diploma in fashion design from The London College of Fashion and a BA(Hons) Fashion Kingston University and awards including from Saga simulated furs, Society Limonta SA, and Bally Suisse
After completing his studies, he spent time in the fashion industry in the atelier of world-renowned London Designer John Bates and then transferred to New York, later in 1986 he set up his atelier in Cheval Place Knightsbridge with a large following from the Greek shipping community. His designs have always been true couture, designed from scratch for the instructing client - he is particularly known for stunning one-off wedding outfits for the bride and entourage.
With his extensive knowledge, collection of antiques, vintage pieces, and an encyclopaedic knowledge of the history of designers and fashion, it was a natural divergence to acquire the adjacent business of The Dress Box in 1989.
